It’s a tradition!  Each year, the Rolando Community Council (RCC) makes grants to community service organizations that benefit the Rolando Community.  Grant recipients were honored at the RCC holiday party in December.  RCC members voted to make 9 grants in the 2009 year, totaling $8,000.  We appreciate the fine work of these non-profit groups.   They are:  The Rolando Little League, the University First! Program of the College Neighborhoods Foundation, Senior programs at Jewish Family Services, The Soul Care Project of the Family Justice Center, the Youth Program at the Rolando Methodist Church, the Family Services Program at the Kroc Center, the San Diego Center for the Blind, the San Diego Police Museum, and the College Area Business Improvement District.
